Gallant firing preceded by rift over WAR aims

In the lead-up to his firing, Israel’s defense chief, Yoav Gallant, called for “painful concessions” in Gaza and reportedly pushed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to seal a ceasefire deal amid high Israeli casualties.
