The Spiritual Power Of Salt

Salt is deeply intertwined with cultural and mythological beliefs. In many cultures, salt is associated with purity, cleansing, and protection. It is believed to have the power to ward off negative energy, evil spirits, and bad luck.

For example, in Japanese culture, salt is used in purification rituals called “shubatsu.” The act of sprinkling salt is believed to cleanse and purify a space or an individual. Similarly, several Native American tribes view salt as a sacred substance used in rituals to cleanse and purify, in fact any cultures ive read up on believe very similar things regarding salt, no matter the geography or time differences. Like so much ancient wisdom scattered throughout religions, myths, & legends, it seems to point to one earlier source, in which all stemmed from.
