David Stephan is the son of renowned health freedom activist and mental health supplement formulator Anthony F. Stephan, who is well known for taking on Health Canada in the early 2000’s. Over the past 20 years David has worked alongside his father as part of the Truehope family business. As a family, they have ensured that Canadians right to access therapeutic natural supplements are maintained, while assisting over a hundred thousand people in coming off of dangerous psychiatric medications and achieving a very high quality of life. Over the past 10 years David has spent much of his time traveling across Canada as a public presenter, educating on the power of proper mineral supplementation and how psychiatric medications can be completely avoided or removed, when the body is supplied the essential co-factors necessary for neurotransmitter production.

In 2012, using a falsified autopsy report, Alberta Justice exploited the medical misadventure death of David and Collet Stephan’s second son, one and half year old Ezekiel, in an attempt to establish case law surrounding the criminality of Canadian parents who choose not to vaccinate their children. With the help of Dr. Toni Bark and Dr. Tetyana Obukhanych, in 2016 during the first trial, David and Collet were successful in having the vaccine portion of the trial thrown out. Albeit, the death of their son would still be exploited within the courts and mainstream media to serve as the biggest court case for attacking natural medicine in Canadian history. After a major error in law due to the presiding judge, David and Collet Stephan were found guilty in “failing to provide the necessaries of life” for their son Ezekiel. They were sentenced to 4 months in jail and 3 months house arrest respectively. They appealed the verdict to the Alberta Court of Appeals, who in November 2017 in a 2-1 decision, upheld the original verdict. In 2018, the Stephan’s appealed to the Supreme Court of Canada and in May of 2018 seven Supreme Court Justices unanimously decided that both the Alberta Court of Appeals and Alberta Superior Court were wrong in convicting the Stephan’s, turning the case back for a fair trial.

In June of 2019, after incurring nearly 1.5 million dollars in costs due to the court proceedings, David had no choice but to self represent while Collet had partial access to 3 different lawyers, filling in as their schedule would allow. After a long drawn out three and half month trial, both David and Collet would be found “Not Guilty”.

In October 2019, the Crown Prosecution would file an appeal claiming that the Judge erred in law in his ruling that the crown had to prove medical attention “would” make a difference in preserving life in order to have it established as a “necessary of life” before the crown could convict parents of “failing to provide the necessaries of life”. Secondly, they insinuated that the Judge was racist for not accepting the evidence and falsified autopsy report of Dr. Adeagbo because he is from Nigeria.

In March of 2021, the Alberta Appeal Courts top Justice finally rendered a decision. The decision would not only undermine the rights of parents across Canada, but furthermore, without any expert evidence to rely on, would reintroduce the vaccine issue while boldly stating that Ezekiel Stephan’s death “would almost certainly have been avoided if the subject had been vaccinated”.

In May of 2021, in an attempt to protect the rights of Canadians, David and Collet applied to have their case reheard before the Supreme Court of Canada to have the dangerous precedent that was recently established through Alberta’s top courts overturned. With a less than 10% chance of having their case accepted, the Stephan’s just heard back that their case was accepted by Canada’s top courts due to it national importance.
