Voters reject road patrol funding

Voters rejected a $3.7 million proposal to save the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office Road patrol. Without the funding, Sheriff Michael Main says the department would have to cut the entire road patrol, leaving the State Police as the sole law enforcement for most of the county. The Isabella Road patrol covers over 500 square miles and responds to about 16,000 calls per year. David Barr Michigan News Source.
