Since 1973, Joan Bell has passionately dedicated herself to protecting preborn children and restoring fundamental human rights. She has been arrested over 200 times for her non-violent efforts in the rescue movement.

Joan and her husband founded Good Counsel Homes to care for pregnant women in need, opening 11 homes in 10 states. They have also opened their own home to seven children, 6 adopted with special needs.

Her commitment to rescue remains unwavering, reflecting the enduring truth of this human rights struggle.

Joan is currently serving an unjust imprisonment because of her heroic rescue efforts. Her award was accepted by fellow pro-life activist, Mary Wagner.
