Donald Trump - Back in the Seat.

Finally, common sense has prevailed: Donald Trump is set to return to the Oval Office at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C.
I’m genuinely pleased for him and his family, who I’ve only seen on TV, particularly on his hit show The Apprentice with the iconic line, “You’re Fired!” Despite what a large swath of American media would have us believe, I thought he did a solid job as President from 2016 to 2020.
Now, I’m not his biggest fan in every respect! I disagree with policies like fracking and the death penalty for drug dealers. But I do see qualities in Trump that I respect—authenticity, humour, strength, determination, intelligence, and a real passion for the job.
Aren’t these the qualities you’d want in a President? Surely they are.
And yes, without adding to the hyperbole already out there, I found him well-suited for that seat in the Oval Office. I’ve even visited 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue myself (though just from behind those iconic black railings).
For someone who’s led a multinational corporation and built skyscrapers around the world, Trump seemed fitting for that challenging role in U.S. politics. Isn’t that what ambitious men strive for? And whether you like him or not, he is a successful man.
Now, I know Tim Walz and others have called him a “failed businessman.” But people often overlook the resilience it takes to make it in the business world, especially given the challenges he’s overcome.

The mainstream media and Hollywood stars were quick to tell people like me that I was wrong about Trump. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Stephen King, Robert DeNiro—none had anything nice to say. The list goes on: Jennifer Aniston, Tom Hanks, Michael Moore, Barbra Streisand, George Clooney. It felt like every influential voice out there was trying to sway us. Thankfully, Mel Gibson’s blunt remark comparing Kamala Harris’s IQ to a lamppost was a reminder that not everyone agreed.
Frankly, I felt gaslit by Hollywood and the media. I’m just a regular guy from Brighton, UK, watching from afar, but I didn’t appreciate being fed a narrative that didn’t match what I saw happening on the ground.
Let's be honest—Trump isn’t a threat to democracy. If he were, he wouldn’t have willingly left the White House in January 2020 after what I believe was an election pulled out from under him.
I might not have the right to vote in U.S. elections, but as a spectator, I have every right to question what I saw. And what I saw in 2020 didn’t line up with Joe Biden’s supposed landslide. I firmly believe Trump’s win was taken from him then. In 2024, the support for Trump was simply too great to deny.

So here’s to Donald Trump’s return! Let him have a fair shot, free of the endless impeachment attempts, media slander, and courtroom distractions.
He’s earned his place, and he’s got the mandate of the American people. That’s enough for a regular guy like me from Brighton, UK.
