Former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump addressed supporters from his campaign headquarters in Palm Beach, Fl., in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Republicans were projected to win control of the U.S. Senate for the first time in four years in Tuesday’s U.S. elections, after the party flipped two seats previously held by Democrats.

It remained too early to determine which party will control the U.S. House of Representatives, where Republicans currently hold a narrow majority.

Meanwhile, Trump is set to become the 47th president after clearing the 270 electoral votes needed to clinch the White House, AP projected early Wednesday morning.
