Baltimore Woman, 27, Fatally Shot by Ex-Boyfriend in Daylight Domestic Violence Attack

Shakeia Allen, a 27-year-old woman, was tragically shot and killed on April 21, 2024, in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Whitelaw Place in Parkville, Maryland. This incident unfolded around 3 p.m. as Allen attempted to flee from her alleged attacker. Witnesses captured the tragic event on video, which showed the suspect following Allen, shooting her multiple times in broad daylight, and then leaving the scene. Shockingly, Allen can be heard in the footage mentioning that she had a protective order against her attacker, emphasizing her ongoing struggles with domestic violence.

Allen had previously experienced multiple incidents of domestic violence involving her former boyfriend, and Baltimore County police had responded to related calls earlier in 2024. In February, she reported that he assaulted her while she was moving out, resulting in his arrest. Although Allen filed for a protective order, it was dismissed just a week before her death when neither she nor her former partner attended a court hearing. Authorities have labeled the incident as a "targeted attack" and are currently searching for the suspect, Amir Johnson, who remains at large.
