Larke Pass (also called Larkya La) is a high-altitude mountain pass at an elevation of about 5,106 meters (16,752 feet) located in the Manaslu region of Nepal. It’s one of the longest and most challenging passes in the Himalayas, offering trekkers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, rugged landscapes, and a remote, unspoiled environment.

Larke Pass is a highlight of the Manaslu Circuit Trek, which is known for its incredible scenery, cultural richness, and diverse landscapes ranging from subtropical jungles to alpine meadows. The trek typically starts from Soti Khola and involves several days of gradual ascent through traditional villages, Buddhist monasteries, and forests filled with rhododendron and pine. As trekkers reach the higher elevations, they encounter stunning mountain vistas, including views of Mount Manaslu, the eighth-highest peak in the world.

Crossing the pass requires a strong level of fitness and acclimatization, as the altitude and weather can be challenging. However, the sense of accomplishment and the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks make it an unforgettable experience for adventure seekers.
