Jacques Baud: Finnish PM Shows Mentality Of Leadership. Unconcerned With Nation Or People's Reality

We have a very short memory, and that relates to the type of leaders we have. You may remember we had this pretty PM in Finland that was caught in some kind of scandal -- Sanna Marin. Interestingly, now that she's no longer in this capacity, a paper interviewed her and asked what motivated her to become Prime Minister. And she said well, 'I just wanted to have an experience'.

And that shows the mentality of our leaders today. They are not deeply concerned with the reality of the people on the ground, of the people in the country. They are just interested in their own agenda, in their own network, and to open new opportunities and things like that. But they are not committed really to the task they were elected for. And in that sense they are not dedicated to improve things, they just want to solve their own personal interests, but not collectively. So I'm afraid we are not going in the right direction that way.
