The Spiritual Warfare & The role of Believers as God's Army

In this video, we explore the reality of spiritual warfare and the essential role of every believer in advancing God's Kingdom. Spiritual warfare is not a physical battle but a struggle against spiritual wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). From the Garden of Eden to Jesus' earthly ministry, and into the lives of His disciples, we see that the forces of darkness continually strive to disrupt God's work. We as believers are not exempt from these battles, but through faith, we can overcome the world (1 John 5:4).

We outline seven essential strategies for spiritual warfare:

1. Faith in God's Presence and Trust in His Battle Plan - As Deuteronomy 20:4 reminds us, God fights for us and equips us with authority over the enemy (Luke 10:19).

2. Remaining Focused on God's Call - The distractions of this world can hinder our spiritual effectiveness (Luke 14:18-20).

3. Watchfulness for Satan's Snares - Being aware of the enemy’s schemes helps us avoid falling into spiritual traps (2 Corinthians 2:11).

4. God's Preparation for Battle - Our strength and skill for spiritual warfare come directly from God (Psalm 144:1; Isaiah 49:2).

5. Victory Through Submission to God - By submitting to God's will, we are empowered to resist the devil and watch him flee (James 4:7).

6. God as Our Defender - Psalm 91 offers powerful promises of God's protection when we dwell in His presence.

7. Spiritual Weapons for Victory - Through prayer, praise, and unity, we engage in battle with weapons of divine power (2 Corinthians 10:4-5; Judges 7).
