On Oct. 10, police responded to what was believed to be an auto-pedestrian collision near Northwest 122nd and MacArthur Boulevard at around 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found 77-year-old Annette Prince, the driver of the car, armed with a pistol, according to police.

Prince did not drop her weapon and fired several shots into the ground. After she refused to drop the firearm, she pointed the weapon at officers.

Police then fatally shot her.

During the investigation, police found that Prince was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by a female whom she knows. For unknown reasons, Prince shot the driver of the car twice near Northwest 123rd Terrace.

The driver jumped out and attempted to run away. Prince then moved to the driver's seat, turned the car around, and ran over the woman whom she previously shot.

Prince tried to flee the area but crashed the vehicle near Northwest 122nd Street, where officers shot her.

The woman who was shot and run over by Prince remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
