Jeremy Patzer Demands End to Carbon Tax, Calls Out Food Bank Crisis in Parliament

In the House of Commons, Canadian MP Jeremy Patzer criticizes the current NDP-Liberal government for policies he says have exacerbated food insecurity across the country. Highlighting key data from Food Banks Canada’s recent hunger report, Patzer points out that over two million Canadians now rely on food banks monthly—a record-breaking increase of six percent over the last year. Patzer attributes much of this rise to the government's carbon tax, which he argues has driven inflation, increased housing costs, and burdened families, especially in his home province of Saskatchewan, where food bank visits have surged by 42% since 2019. With children making up nearly 39% of those relying on food banks in Saskatchewan, he calls on the Prime Minister to end the "failed socialist experiment" of the carbon tax and let Canadians decide through an election. The Conservatives, he asserts, are ready to "axe the tax" and restore affordability across Canada.
