The Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, is the sixth of the seven Feasts of the LORD. We find it referenced in Leviticus 16 and 23, Numbers 29, and Hebrews 9.
As in each of the other Feasts of the LORD, Jesus has fulfilled the Spiritual significance of the Day of Atonement.
On the Day of Atonement under the Old Covenant, the High Priest would enter the Holy of Holies to sprinkle blood on and before the Mercy Seat above the Ark of Testimony for an atonement of his sin, his household, and for all the people.
Jesus, as our High Priest, entered the Holy of Holies, the throne room of the true temple in heaven to present His blood as not just an atonement, but the propitiation of the sins of all who believe and trust in Him as their Lord and Savior.
