How to Fix Voting Permanently

In this video I discuss my ideas for a secure voting system. The essential premise is as follows:

No digital voting, all paper ballots.

Ballots are passed in front of cameras and image recognition algorithims record the votes accurately.

The footage of this event is livestreamed on public record so that individuals at home can run their own algorithims to verify the results.

At all points ballots are visible and recorded being transported to/from, placed in/out of machines.

Final provision: public/private key pairs are furnished and the public key is visible on stream so that individuals can verify their vote was recorded properly. (This could be opt in/out for individuals that fear unmasking of their vote.)

I think it's about as good as you could get as a proposal. Any digital voting mechanism proposed will be prone to way, way, way too many attack vectors. This could be referred to as mechanical voting but not digital voting. You get the benefit of speed and accuracy of digital voting without introducing potential attack vectors.
