Philip Theodor Ringe was a silversmith, jeweler and a Fabergé workmaster. He was born in #Riga in Livonia, #Latvia in 1824. #Faberge trusted #PhilipTheodorRinge enough to open a small workshop at 12 Malaya Morskaya in #StPetersburg producing enameled articles, including dollhouse miniatures, in gold starting in 1870. After his death, in 1894, his widow Anna Karlovna Ringe (1840-1912) ran the workshop, making her potentially the first and only female Faberge workmaster. Fellow workmasters #AndersMickelson and Vassily Soloviev ran the Ringe workshop first as assistants, and independently in 1912 after her death.
