The social engineers that Edward Bernays called "the invisible rulers" create the content for media outlets and politicians. The politicians of the left/right paradigm are chosen because they reflect the dissonant values of the public. Most Americans intend to be moral, peaceful, freedom minded and equality conscious; however, the behaviors of Americans show that "we the people" really value monetary gain over morals, ethics and integrity as well as the belief in human rulership as necessary for a functioning society.
