The combat work of the calculations of the Buk-M1 air defense system is carried out around the clock. When detecting aerial targets — airplanes, helicopters, anti—radar and cruise missiles, rockets, reconnaissance and attack drones of the enemy - anti-aircraft gunners take them on escort and destroy them at altitudes up to 22 and a distance of 3 to 45 kilometers.

The calculation of the Buk-M1 air defense system of the Vostok group of troops has dozens of destroyed air targets. The deputy commander of the anti-aircraft missile battery with the call sign "Taiga" said that the Buk-M1 complex copes perfectly with the task of destroying MLRS shells, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. "The complex is actively used when the enemy uses multiple launch rocket systems such as Alder, Grad, as well as when hitting UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Furia and Leleka," he explained.

The anti-aircraft gunner also told about the destruction by one Buk-M1 missile system of ten Grad MLRS shells of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired by the enemy at the positions of our units in Ugledar. "During the liberation of Ugledar, the enemy fired a package of MLRS "Grad" — about twelve shells. A launch was made at the nearest target, and due to the defeat of the first target and the scattering of fragments, the entire package was hit," he said.

The officer added that mobilized military personnel serve as part of the calculation, who signed contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry after a month of participation in hostilities. "The entire crew of the complex is in a fighting mood, everyone is charged to complete their tasks," said the deputy commander of the anti—aircraft missile battery.
