In the fight for justice, there comes a time when the very institutions meant to serve and protect us instead become barriers to our freedoms. Across the nation, citizens who dare to challenge government overreach often find themselves silenced or pushed aside, their rights disregarded in the name of maintaining control. One such example occurred outside the Virginia Beach Circuit Court, where a group of patriots including myself sought to educate the public about the role of the Grand Jury—only to be arrested and thrown in jail to suppress our efforts.

The Battle for Accountability
We gathered peacefully to engage with fellow citizens on the importance of the Grand Jury in holding our justice system accountable. However, we were quickly met with resistance from local authorities. We were handed an administrative directive, signed by local officials, instructing us to move further away from the courthouse—effectively silencing us.

The directive itself, signed by an unlawfully appointed sheriff, raised questions about its legitimacy. Despite claims that it was approved weeks prior, the document appeared hastily produced. This kind of bureaucratic maneuvering is a familiar tactic used to suppress free speech and intimidate those who dare to expose governmental abuses.

The officers proceeded to arrest and jail me. The charge? Trespassing. Ironically, the injustice lay not with my peaceful actions, but with the authorities’ treatment of me. Instead of upholding the Constitution, they enforced a directive that seemed aimed solely at silencing dissent. One officer stated on camera to a member of our group, “Same reason you could be arrested—for obstruction”, while she was filming everything. The fact that citizens standing up for their rights are met with criminal charges speaks volumes about the state of justice in our society today.

My arrest was not just a case of trespassing or disobedience. It was a targeted effort to stop a lawful, constitutionally protected activity. Our group wasn’t blocking access or disrupting public order—we were attempting to engage fellow citizens in a conversation about their rights.

This incident highlights the frustrating double standards applied to public expression as we pointed out that other organizations, such as Jehovah’s Witnesses, had been allowed to stand in the same location the previous day without being harassed or removed. Yet, when it came to citizens challenging government overreach, the rules suddenly shifted. The authorities used arbitrary guidelines to keep us out of sight, enforcing their version of justice selectively.
