Starting a Homestead From Scratch: Building and Filling a Chicken Coop

This week Charlotte enlists Pappy and I to help convert the old smokehouse into a chicken coop. This is the first step in using the second property to build our homestead. We are starting off small until we work out the kinks. Then we plan to drastically increase the number of chickens we raise. It may not seem like a major step but it certainly felt like it to Charlotte which helps keep us motivated.
