The Liberty Podcast: November 1, 2024

We enter the final days of this history defining election buoyed by unprecedented turn out amid early voting, beginning on the very first day, October 17, 2024. Republicans are outvoting Democrats by tens of thousands in early voting, and so are unaffiliated citizens.

But all who have "banked" a vote must not merely cheer from the sidelines. In fact, there are no sidelines on a political battlefield. In these waning days until Tuesday, November 5, it is essential that we do everything we can to Make America Great Again, even if that means we make an American uncomfortable by grating on his nerves about fulfilling a solemn obligation to vote.

What are the options? Phone calls. Reminders amid every day encounters -- at the grocery store, the coffee shop, while walking the dog. There is a tool at our disposal we can use right from home -- the smartphone. Download the Turning Point Action app. Register with your name and physical address. The app instantly generates phone numbers of nearby residents who haven't yet voted. You can call. You can text. You can walk down the street and knock on a door. Please try it.

Two important races that are close, and winnable deserve extra attention: Dan Bishop for Attorney General; and Michele Morrow or Superintendent of Public Instruction. WRAL polling shows both of these Republicans can pull away if we surge to the polls. North Carolina has not elected a Republican attorney general since the late 1800s.

And while early voting by Republicans has created tsunamis in North Carolina, Arizona and elsewhere, political polling specialist Nate Silver reminds us one and all that early voting data is highly "non-predictive" of election outcomes. In 2016, more Republicans than Democrats voted early in Colorado -- but Hillary Clinton won there. This is but one example.

Propped up by a compliant, corrupt media, Democrats pretend that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have wind at their backs. Privately, they are worried about the race. And in one not-so-private moment, Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, a virulent Marxist Democrat, explained his intent to leverage Section 3 of the 14th amendment to ensure that a Trump victory will not be certified by Congress, even if it sparks "civil war conditions."

Finally, living in a "battleground/swing state" offers a perk: many opportunities to rally around Donald Trump. He has three stops planned during the homestretch: Gastonia, NC (12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2); Greensboro (7:30 p.m., Saturday November 2); Kinston (2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3); and Raleigh (10 a.m., Monday, November 4).
