During a visit to Dearborn, Michigan on November 1, former president Donald Trump answered "We're going to bring peace" when asked about a conversation he had with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump also talked up his connection with the Muslim and Lebanese communities, asserting his popularity among them and his expectations of securing their votes.

Trump was joined by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who he mentioned would play a significant role in his healthcare policy if elected.

The former president also called Liz Cheney a "war hawk" and said she "wants to go kill people unnecessarily."

Michigan is home to several hundred thousand Arab Americans and Muslims with family in Gaza and others with family in Lebanon. It is one of a handful of battleground states that will decide the November election.
