Supreme Court upholds Pennsylvania provisional ballot ruling

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Pennsylvania ruling allowing provisional ballots missing a “secrecy” envelope to be counted, dealing a setback to the GOP and Republican National Committee just before the election.

The GOP argued these ballots could cause “irreparable harm” if counted.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision emphasized that provisional votes can only be counted if eligibility is verified, Fox News has reported.
