Recovering from Helene -- Stories of Survival and Loss from western North Carolina

In this video I share the stories of several North Carolina Survivors of Hurricane Helene, along with more coverage of the unprecedented devastation left by this storm of the century. I also show testimonies of the living conditions on the ground in western North Carolina, and their desperate need for more volunteers to help those who've lost literally everything. And what fresh new hell is this? – that immediately after the Red Cross starts closing their shelters in North Carolina claiming there’s no more need in that state, the Dept. of Child Services swoops in and starts “evaluating” parents, telling them to “figure out” their housing situation, or have their children taken away for ‘neglect.’ Four witnesses confirm it.
