Gabby Thomas recently shared details about a major surprise visit she and Olympic personal coach Simone Biles made to support rising WNBA star Kaitlyn Clark.

Considered one of the most exciting young athletes in the United States, Clark has become a major figure in the sports world and captured the attention of fans with her record-breaking debut season. The former No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA and rising star shone as the Indiana Fever's top pick point coach, delighting crowds and inspiring top athletes across a variety of sports.

Acrobat and track star Biles and Thomas were so impressed by Clark's accomplishments that they went to watch her play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana on August 28. After the game, they surprised Clark and her Fever colleagues in the garage, leaving a moment of deep respect for the stars of the various sports worlds.

During a recent interview at the 2024 TCS New York City Distance Race, where Thomas served as super marshal, she spoke about the experience.

"Simone and I went to watch the Fever game, and it was amazing. The energy in that arena was phenomenal," Thomas recalled. "We really surprised Kaitlyn.

We hid near their garage, waiting to see their reaction.

" The whole team was surprised, and Kaitlyn was very surprised too... Their reaction was very sweet. ” Reflecting on the brotherhood between the athletes, Thomas added: “We are all passionate about our sports, but fundamentally we admire each other.” Both Biles and Thomas will return from the 2024 Paris Olympics with three gold medals each.

In Clark’s first season, she set the WNBA standard for assists, became the first freshman to record a triple-double, and led her team to the final round of a regular season game for the first time since around 2016.

She will be back on the court in 2025 and is ready to get off to a great start.
