With the WNBA season over, players have had a chance to showcase their skills by competing outside the league, often internationally.

But this year, a new national option has emerged that has the WNBA community excited: the Unparalleled Association.

Founded by New York Freedom's Brianna Stewart and Minnesota Lynx's Napheesa Collier, Unparalleled showcases top-level WNBA skills in a unique 3-on-3 format, bringing elite competition to the United States.

Unparalleled has already created a stir and piqued the interest of many WNBA champions.

The league, which has a 36-player roster, recently invited Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston to join its impressive roster.

Boston joins fellow Fever partner Lexi Structure as the only Fever couples keeping their eye on the new union. Boston used the virtual chat to share her excitement about joining Unmatched and starting a new phase of her career.

"Miami III, let's not do it again. I'm so excited!!!!" she said, referring to the Miami, Florida hookup location. Unmatched will be back with a highly successful debut season with Miami hosting the match in January 2025.

The decision to join Unmatched marks another achievement in Boston's promising career. After a standout performance in 2023 that earned her the latest phenomenal accolade, Boston had a strong season with the Indiana Fever.

In the 2024 WNBA season, she averaged 14.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, securing her place as an elite player.

Now, as a part of Unmatched, Boston will have the opportunity to further hone her skills in a new competitive environment with the WNBA's best players. With a player like Boston in the starting lineup, Unmatched will bring fans a high-profile women's basketball spectacle in early 2025 and provide WNBA players with an attractive option to play overseas.
