On May 31st 2024 I visited the new Texas military base along the Rio Grande, meant to give soldiers easier access to the frontlines of border invasion.

Gov Abbott was in attendance to cut the ribbon.

It's called the Camp Eagle FOB Forward Operating Base. An 80 acres parcel in Eagle Pass.

Mostly used for National Guardsmen or Texas Military Department members.

This is just Phase 1 of a larger plan that will culminate in the construction of 95 buildings and capable of holding 2,000 soldiers at a cost of over $130,000,000 million dollars. The contractor Team Building Solutions is based out of New Braunfels Tx.

The reason to build the base was due to increased hotel rates expenses. Since 2021 rates have gone up 30% to a whopping $11.5 million a month for housing soldiers.

The grift never ends.
