Join us at 9pm tonight!

Regardless of the outcome of the Nov. 5 U.S. elections, the world will remain deeply unsatisfied, as the present posture of the trans-Atlantic system towards financial bankruptcy and expanding, potentially thermonuclear war with Russia, China, and Iran, will not be changed, unless a miracle occurs.

That miracle, or series of miracles in the intervening period, will only be accomplished by ourselves, as Schiller Institute Chairwoman Helga Zepp-LaRouche put it. The independent LaRouche candidates Diane Sare and Jose Vega held a historical rally on Oct. 26 in New York City in the background of the history-making BRICS+ Summit in Kazan, Russia. The messages of those candidates, along with VIPS co-founder Ray McGovern, Col. Larry Wilkerson (ret.), Staff Sgt. Dennis Fritz, comedian Jimmy Dore, Garland Nixon, and former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter others provided people with spiritual ammunition and hope required for people to elect themselves to achieve the miracle of getting the United States off its present tragic course, and towards cooperation with the BRICS nations, establishing a new, security and development architecture.

The situation at present is a grim one. In Southwest Asia, discussions are now underway of a possible follow-up strike by Israel against Iran, with or without an Iranian retaliation to Israel’s last strike. The neocon/neoliberal war hawks currently running U.S. policy in Southwest Asia and Ukraine are egging Israel to do so.

In Ukraine, the widespread media hysteria about thousands of North Korean troops being trained inside Russian territory and fighting in Ukraine, are being used to prepare for a wider NATO escalation directly against Russia.

Schiller Institute Chairwoman Helga Zepp-LaRouche, in her Oct. 30 webcast, pointed to the solution, in reference to the BRICS+ meeting in Kazan, Russia: “…You now have a relatively loose association of states, who are not forming a bloc, and they are very emphatic that they are not competing with NATO or the EU in terms of bloc-building. They say they are open for everybody to join, including NATO members. So, this would be a perfect opportunity to say: Let’s just put this confrontation … let’s put the scheme of black and white aside, and just recognize that it’s a good thing that the world is made up of so many nations and cultures and traditions. And let’s find an MO through common development so that we can all live peacefully on this one planet….”

The independent candidacies of Jose Vega in the Bronx (NY-15) and Ben Wesley in Connecticut (CT-4) will join the Fireside Chat tonight, and will discuss the need for the United States to build a new, security and development architecture with other nations.
