The Ukrainian army is currently grappling with what has been described as the "biggest-ever rebellion" amid ongoing war. According to Ukrainian lawmaker Anna Skorokhod, troop desertions have exceeded 100,000, confirming earlier media reports about the situation. Skorokhod stated that over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers have voluntarily left their units. The Ukrainian Prosecutor General has registered around 60,000 cases of unauthorised abandonment, highlighting the seriousness of this issue for the armed forces. Furthermore, a recently captured soldier indicated that many mobilised Ukrainians surrender at the first opportunity, reflecting a widespread unwillingness to continue fighting.
