SCARY NATIONAL DEBT!

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is showing the frightening national debt on a monstrous digital clock, calling on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to stop wasting money just in time for Halloween.

The federal government’s debt is currently more than $1.2 trillion. Each Canadian’s share of the federal debt is more than $29,000. The Debt Clock shows the debt increasing by about $1,200 every second.

Federal debt interest charges are costing taxpayers $54 billion this year.
