This is the most interesting boarder crossing, the Boquillas Del Carmen crossing. In Big Bend NP we take a flat bottom boat to the small village of Boquillas Del Carmen. Once across the Rio Grande we ride donkeys up to the village. We get a personal tour guide who takes us around the town for some shopping and a hike through the sand dunes. He shares stories of the past and history of the village. We have lunch at both restaurants in town Jose Falcon and Boquillas restaurant bar. After a full day we take the donkeys back to the Rio and a flat bottom boat over to America. This was so much fun. This village depends solely on tourism.
