Porkopolis Economics covers macroeconomics, money, and sports from the creator of the Crypto Voices podcast, Matthew Mezinskis.

This video looks at the actual hard assets that the government owns; namely, cash, gold, and land. Any other asset is not "really" an asset, it is simply a receivable from another branch of government. As we discussed in the Social Security series, it doesn't matter if this "asset" exists or not, it can only be paid by new taxes, and since the government does not run surpluses, this new spending will only add to the national debt.
