Word 1
HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 18:23-33
Gen 18:23-26 God’s communications concerning Sodom and Gomorrah had an effect on Abraham which is worth imitating. Instead of retreating into complacency because the judgment did not affect him, he became an intercessor for others. Remember that he first intervened for Lot and company to physically rescue them, now, he is interceding to rescue Lot's city spiritually.

Word 2
HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 18:23-33
Gen 18:27-29 Abraham undoubtedly abhorred the wickedness of Sodom. He never would have chosen to live there, like Lot did. Yet he prayed fervently and urgently for the city. We must hate sin, but feel sorry for sinners and pray for them. God takes “no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live” (Eze_33:11 ). God’s desire should also be our desire. That desire is expressed in the first place in our intercession. Abraham’s faith grew with every answer to his prayers. Each time he got what he asked for. We see in him “the holy persistence” of prayer (Luk_11:8 ) that bridged the infinite distance between the creature and Creator.

Word 3
HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 18:23-33
Gen 18:30-33 Abraham prayed with the knowledge of God. He knew Him as “the Judge of all the earth” Who dealt justly (Gen_18:25 ; Job_34:10-11 ). That was the starting point and the basis of his intercession. He knew that God would never sweep away the righteous with the wicked. He also approached God in the deep awareness of his own smallness before Him in the recognition that he was dust and ashes (cf. 2Sa_7:18 ; Job_42:5-6 ). If we approach in that attitude, we will know that our prayer is pleasing to Him (Pro_15:8 ).

Personal Supplication
Father, thank You for granting all my request both now and in the future
1 John 5:14-15
14 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.
15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
