This is a series for my money guys and collectors where I calculate and assemble the 8 most expensive pokemon cards from classic sets, according to their most recent sales on the highest grade.

ex Team Rocket Returns is my least favourite overall set from the ex era; it doesn't mean I hate it, in fact it has a few cards that I'm a big fan of. I only don't care about it as much because it's largely focused on team rocket pokemon and there isn't that much variety besides that. However, this is set was revolutionary in many ways in the era introducing the reverse holo cards with the set logo stamped on cards and gold lettering on the cards. What's more, this is the first set where Gold Star cards debuted for the first time which have ended up as possibly the most iconic high end pokemon cards to collect for the most serious collectors.
