You're Told You Have Already Voted

If you attempt to vote in person in the California elections, what can you do to protect your vote and your voice?

The four vital pieces of evidence are:
1. What date and time was a ballot cast for you?
2. Was it cast in person or a vote-by-mail ballot?
3. If in person, at which vote center? If a vote-by-mail, was it through a secured ballot drop box or through the USPS mail? Which ballot drop box was a ballot dropped into or which regional post office branch received and postmarked your ballot?
4. Most importantly, if it was a vote-by-mail, make sure to get a copy of the envelope a ballot was cast for you to see the signature that was accepted.
