Madison Square Owner Responds to Criticism Over Trump Rally: We Are Neutral in Political Matters

As his fascist march in New York City, Donald Trump tainted what many believe to be a sacred place: Madison Square Park. It wouldn't be the first time a Nazi rally has mobilized people up to the beams of the park. In 1939, on the cusp of World War II, American Nazis filled the old garden on 50th Street and Eighth Street to spread the venom of white supremacists. This outrageous event was largely forgotten until director Marshall Carey turned previously unscreened archival footage into an Oscar-nominated short film, A Night in the Park in 2017.
