Another in the series of 9 in a row hero profiles, this time the spotlight falls on Ian Durrant, the magic midfielder who fought his way back from a devastating injury that could have easily ended his days in football. Instead, Ian came through seven operations and 1,000 stitches to put back together not only his knee, but his very career, and go on to play a major role in many League Championships, Scottish and League Cups, picking up 11 caps for his country.

From his childhood in the shadows of Ivbrox Stadium, Ian grew up watching the light blues. His passion for the game was amply rewarded when he was taken into the Ibrox fold. Initially as a boot boy, working his way up through sheer determination, passion for the game, and outstanding skill to become one of the most popular players to wear the blue jersey. This video tells the story of Ian, part of the 9 in a row legend, his move to Kilmarnock where he teamed up again with his buddy, Ally McCoist MBE. to the present day, where he coaches at Rugby Park.
