What is the carrying capacity of the planet's natural resources? The book Limits to Growth is the first computer model to correlate the relationship of exponential population growth on natural resources, industrial manufacturing, and agriculture for the food system. Since then it has been agreed, by many country's governments, that all four need to be managed. Therefore, we now see the long-standing policy being implemented resulting in a global government. See the policy United Nations Agenda 21 and later Agenda 2030.

“If you want more liberty and more consumption, then the planet can support 1 billion people. If you want less liberty and less consumption, a smart dictatorship...and low standard of living could be 8 – 9 billion. The key is in the speed of the decline…and I hope it is civil.” Dennis Meadows.
