OW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 18:16-22
Gen 18:16 These verses begin and end with a message about the departure of the two angels to Sodom. They “looked down toward Sodom” (Gen_18:16 ) and they “went toward Sodom” The purpose of this earthly visit was to see if Sodom was as wicked as God’s scouts had reported to Him (Gen_18:20-21). On the way they visited their friend, Abraham. Now they looked toward Sodom. This is more proof that God is a real person with a body. Abraham simply walked with his guests toward Sodom. This was done out of courtesy, not to show God the way. COURTESY is a virtue that is rooted in the fruit of the spirit called GOODNESS.

HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 18:16-22
Gen 18:17-19 In the verses in between we are made partakers of the deliberations of the LORD. He discusses with Himself whether He will make known to Abraham what He will do with Sodom and Gomorrah. He mentions the conditions Abraham meets to involve him in His plans. Everything in his house is ruled by God’s Word. If things are so, God can make His thoughts known. God cannot make such announcements to people like Lot.

HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 18:16-22
Gen 18:20-22 In order for the Lord to convince us of His absolute righteousness, He informed us that He will descend to get the confirmation of what had come to His attention. He knew everything that happened on earth. But also here He involved us in His way of working and described this in a way that we could understand and imitate. He doesn’t judge without having examined the case thoroughly. When the time of departure came, Abraham bade his guests farewell. He sent them on their way “in a manner worthy of God” (3Jn_1:6 ). He waned to enjoy their company for as long as possible. This gave the LORD the opportunity to share His thoughts with Abraham (Pro_3:32 ). Hospitality is key to enjoying the favour of God.

Personal Supplication
Father, help me to walk in the spirit, bear the fruit of the spirit and enjoy Your Blessing all the days of my life in Jesus' name! Gal 5:25
25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
