The Mask of Satan AKA Black Sunday (1960)

The Mask of Satan (1960), also known as Black Sunday, is a gothic horror classic directed by Mario Bava. Set in 17th-century Eastern Europe, the film follows the vengeful spirit of Asa Vajda (played by Barbara Steele), a witch who is resurrected two centuries after being executed with a spiked iron mask nailed to her face. Asa returns from the grave to possess her descendant and unleash terror on the living.
