In today’s reflection, we find hope and assurance in the message from 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."

This verse fills our hearts with the promise of Christ’s glorious return. It reminds us that the Lord’s second coming will be marked by majesty and power, with the sound of a trumpet and the voice of an archangel announcing His arrival. Those who have passed away in Christ will rise first, and those still alive will be gathered together with them to meet the Lord in the clouds.

This powerful promise offers believers comfort and hope, knowing that death is not the end. We are assured of eternal union with the Lord, where we will dwell in His presence forever. This verse encourages us to live with readiness, anticipating the moment we will be united with Christ.

Let’s reflect: Are we living each day in the light of this hope? Are we prepared to meet the Lord, whether in life or in resurrection? Today, let’s hold on to this promise, knowing that our future with Christ is secure.
