US threatens Georgia with ‘consequences’ after ruling party wins parliamentary election

Washington has threatened Georgia with ‘consequences if the government's direction does not change.’ The ex-Soviet country should not stray from Euro-Atlantic integration, the State Department spokesman has warned.

The comments were made after the ruling Georgian Dream party won the parliamentary election, receiving almost 54% of the vote.
