Cyberpunk, Rhythm, JRPG, and Bullet hell game by @MoonanaGames

Has 8 chapters including a Prologue. Felt like I had to put this in because no one else did in my research.

Uploaded on the same day since putting it a day apart is insulting to the viewer. Thanks YouTube.

please note, this review is using the launch version from Sep. 18th, this has been updated on Oct. 14 and most of the stuff I am probably going to talk about may be patched. I didn't update my game because I want to show how games are on launch and their condition. It is good the game is updated as games like Atlas Wept and Mossroot haven't been updated. While games like Dance of Cards got updates.

*spoilers if you read any further*

Alright, so to start, I already had an idea of how this game will end from the beginning, you got Bobo with her brother and she finds a music robot. Right away, in the prologue I love how the game is completely void of music. It goes with the dystopian society of music being banned. You don't get music until after the prologue, which is fine.

I played with a controller, it is snappy and perfect, with the only error coming from my controllers stick drift. A bug I found about the combat is for Dealer with the anchor, where I don't have to perfectly time it and can just press it right away and essentially null the attack.

The movement Is great on controller and the running is good.

Characters are fair with decent arcs.

Now we get to the rhythm part, get @acai28 to play this! It falls off here. I do not like the buttons here, its your trigger and bumper buttons. I have analog triggers, which made hitting notes harder and along with it, the mapping felt a little delayed. It did say at 3:44:36 how on pause I can recalibrate it, but I wanted to do what the devs gave me. Overall, it's nothing bad, its alright.

Going down, we then are introduced to music boxed and a bullet hell minigame next. It is alright and isn't all too hard, though is simplistic.

Later down we finally get to our first crash, during the motorcycle battle against a boss. 10:05:48 where you switch loadouts, causes a crash. One thing I noticed was due to these crashes and other times when you restart a fight, It feels like I am going through different realities, in Part two you see I lose my baseball bat which is my favorite weapon. I also lose loadouts when I restarted some fights later down the game.

Going down later, I experience another crash, in part 2, this time it wasn't as bad as I saved more, that's when I noticed I lost my Bat. :(

Going to the last chapter, I finally was prepared to see if my hypothesis was correct, this was 3 story elements I thought up.

Bobo sacrifices the robot, Bobo get betrayed by her brother, Bobo dies in the end.

Would I have known they nearly went with all 3 (please note, this is just with my ending B. I do not go for 100%) Instead, the robot is implied to be sacrificed but isn't before chapter 8. Then the brother goes against the wishes of Bobo, does betray her and they fight. And in my ending Bobo may or may not be dead by the end. Of course I did not expect a happy ending, afterall, it's a dystopian.

Graphics 5/5: Solid pixel art and very detailed.
Playability 4/5: other than the rhythm section, stellar.
Music 4/5: Really good, I have 2 tracks saved on my playlist. But I do think the combat themes are where it's at rather than the actual rhythm section.
Difficulty 5/5: Perfect with a Difficulty slider.
Personal 4/5: That ending with giving me New Game+ felt like a spit in the face, I do not like games that do this, Trigger witch and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate did it. I also don't like the idea of multiple endings, course, RPG's kind of need this for replay value, but I want stories that are conclusive and don't just canonize the ending I didn't get, BO2 did this. Along with the crashes and bugs that hampered my progress as mentioned before.

Please suggest games for me and I will do my best to post a Full Gameplay of them as early as possible. I will comment if I can not on your comment.
