Acts 20:35-21:25 - And They Are All Zealous for the Law

As Paul continues the final leg of his third missionary journey, a prophet named Agabus in Caesarea warns him of dangers awaiting him in Jerusalem. Ignoring his friends’ pleas to stay away, Paul proceeds to Jerusalem and meets with James and the other Elders of the church there.
As James, the half-brother of Jesus and head of the church in Jerusalem, responds to Paul’s report, we see how the early church had already divided into two factions – Jewish believers who were “all zealous for the Law” (Acts 21:20 NKJV) and Gentile believers who were not so obligated.
Pastor Kevin explains how important it is for individual believers to obey the Holy Spirit’s leading instead of listening to the advice of others or succumbing to our own fears.
Maranatha!
