The Parable of the Talents

The Parable of the Talents is a story told by Jesus in the Bible (Matthew 25:14-30). It's about a man who, before leaving on a journey, entrusted different amounts of money (talents) to three servants. Two of them invested their money and earned more, while the third servant, fearing his master, buried his talent in the ground. When the master returned, he praised the faithful servants who had used their talents wisely but condemned the one who had been lazy and fearful. This parable teaches us the importance of using our God-given abilities and talents for good and not squandering them. It emphasizes the idea that those who are given much will be expected much.
