Aboard the International Space Station, NASA astronauts Matt Dominick, Mike Barratt, Jeanette Epps, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin prepared to depart the space station following the closing of the hatch to the SpaceX Dragon Endeavour on Oct. 23 ahead of their undocking from the space station a short time later. Crew-8 was completing a science mission living and working aboard the microgravity laboratory to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies for future human and robotic exploration missions as part of NASA’s Moon and Mars exploration approach, including lunar missions through NASA’s Artemis program.
