Could 40% of Postmenopausal Breast Cancer Be Preventable? 🤔🎗️

An eye-opening October 2024 study suggests we’ve been underestimating the link between excessive body weight and breast cancer—all due to the overreliance on Body Mass Index (BMI).

🔎 A recent CDC report reveals a jump in severe obesity rates in adults from 7.7% to 9.7%, now affecting 1 in 10 people. This negative impact is especially severe for women, contributing to cancers like:

* Breast Cancer

* Colorectal Cancer

* Endometrial Cancer

* Pancreatic Cancer

* Liver Cancer

The major culprit? Processed and ultra-processed foods. 🍔🍟

From 1800 to 2019, the presence of these foods skyrocketed from less than 5% to over 60% of our diet. And government policies pushing high-carbohydrate foodsaren’t helping—these subsidies are directly shaping our behavior.

Just look at the numbers: since the pandemic, obesity in children rose from 19.3% to 22.4%, and for adults from 42.4% to 50%. It’s hard to ignore how the waistlines of citizens reflect the expanding waistlines of government policies.
