At the 3rd Annual Tat 2 You Car Show in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, we came across this beautiful 1967 Pontiac Firebird. This one is packing a 400 cubic inch V8 engine, and it even has that classic hood-mounted tachometer—a signature feature of performance Pontiacs from the era.

The First Generation Pontiac Firebird (1967-1969)

The Pontiac Firebird made its debut in 1967, entering the muscle car scene alongside its cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro. Both shared the F-body platform, but Pontiac gave the Firebird a unique identity that set it apart from the Camaro, with different styling, engine options, and its own performance features.
