Well it seems that I was killed a Sea Emperor that possibly clipped me right through a wall as I was picking up my storage chests that had fallen out of my Cyclops. One bug after another and here we are, back to square one. I will attempt another run at Hardcore Subnautica but not just yet. I have some research to do on in-game bugs and how to avoid them.
