Israel bus stop attack: 1 killed, dozens injured when truck rams bus near Tel Aviv

Israeli medics say one person was killed and more than 30 were wounded when a truck rammed into a bus at a stop near Tel Aviv.

Police said they are investigating the incident, which took place near a military base Sunday morning, as a suspected terror attack.

“(…) A bus came here and dropped off passengers, waited to get some more on and what happened was a truck was just ramming into the bus and the bus station, injuring tens of innocent people who were standing there getting off the bus, getting on the bus. And most of them were youngsters,” said Chief Supt. Miri Ben Mayor, a police spokesperson.

Israeli media reported the driver was an Israeli Arab citizen from Qalansawe in central Israel. They added that the driver had been “neutralized.”
